Same Old Design

Since Toronto is considered the condo capital of North America, selling more condos than big US cities like New York, you would think there would be an abundance of different designs and architecture.  Sadly, when you look at Toronto’s skyline that just isn’t the case.  One design called N-Blox unveiled to the public featured unique modern design and not a single unit was sold.  When the developer changed the design plans and reintroduced the building to the public the units sold out in a matter of hours.

Avoiding The Tax

By Rob Parker at 8:47 am on | No comments

The city of Toronto saw its new land tax take effect on February first this year.  Any homes bought before this deadline were exempt but any purchased after will find an additional bill for approximately $3000-4000 for the average home.  Factoring in this extra cost it is not difficult to see that many people in the market for a new home will move out of Toronto in to cities such as Hamilton and Burlington.  Considering all costs associated with buying a home, it won’t take prospective buyers long to realize they can move in to a neighbouring city and save a good sum of money.
