Although the greater Toronto area in most parts has shown some signs of slowing down after a record breaking year for home sales, a few areas are still ahead.  The city of Markham is one of the lucky few.  Markham was the most active area in the GTA with 164 homes exchanging hands in February.  The actual slight lull may have not much to do with the economy at all but the wintery weather the Toronto area has been experiencing.  Icy, snowy roads are not the best conditions to drive around shopping for homes.

The home building project named Habitat For Humanity is coming two Mississauga and has two proposed building lots for the Streetsville area.  Habitat For Humanity builds homes for less fortunate sponsored families around the world.  Right now there are 14 000 families in Mississauga on a waiting list for affordable housing.  More funding is needed from companies and organizations to get the project underway.
