  Developers and designers are not the only who see the beauty in an old run down home and flipping it into a renovated home of dreams.  Some home buyers are able to see the beauty within and commit to doing the work involved.  Recently one couple purchased an old home in bad need of repair in the Leaside community.  Like many of the homes in the Leaside area, the home although old had a strong foundation and the framework was made of brick work.  Craftsmanship that you do not see much now.  Flippers often aim to keep the integrity of the home while giving it some of the finer amenities buyers like to see.

Million Dollar Listings

Multi-million dollar homes are becoming more common in Canada and a number of homes in this price range are located in Toronto.  Areas in Toronto such as Bridle Path, Forest Hill and Rosedale have many of the million dollar listings.  While the price tag of homes is going up so is the cost of condos in Toronto has well.  The average condo sells for between $1000-$1500 per square foot which is substantially higher than a few years ago.

Few Homes For First Time Buyers

The ever rising cost of a home in the city of Toronto is causing much frustration mainly for first time buyers.  The amount of homes available for an entry level price for first time buyers is diminishing and their options are few.  Many of these first time buyers are having to compromise location, space and their other expectations.  Many of these buyers are also deciding on buying a condo since their prices are more affordable.

Smart Move To Ajax

 If you like the big city of Toronto but are not keen on living in the middle of it it may be time to consider moving to an area just outside city limits.  More and more people are deciding to do just that and purchase a home or condo just beyond Toronto.  Many surrounding cities have much to offer.  In a recent poll done by Don Campbell the city of Ajax is the third best place to invest in for real estate.  The lower cost of housing and the increase in diverse employers is part of the attraction.
