With a population of a little over one hundred thousand the city of Kingston is small enough to boast a small town friendly atmosphere. The city also offers a little something for everyone. Beautiful trails for nature lovers, theatres for play and movie buffs and museums filled with history. Kingston is also home to two universities and one college which come in handy for families considering making a move to the area. Surrounding the Kingston area you will also find the beautifully 1000 islands where scenic bout tours can be taken. Kingston residents can also take in two world heritage sites being the Rideau Canal and Fort Henry. Despite having plenty to offer for a city its size the cost of buying and owning a home in Kingston remains affordable. The average price of a resale home in the area is under two hundred and fifty thousand.
