Please and I am being totally serious here, we've got to get rid of the pointy headed liar, before we are all completely broke. I've experienced hikes in my hydro rates, I am paying more income tax, soon to be double digit increases in car insurance, and I absolutely cringe at the thought of paying 13% HST on just about everything I buy. My pay will not be going up, in fact it will most surely be going down.

And today in his budget speech he says "can we work together?" Well hey guess what Dalton? No we can't. I don't have any money left.
This guy is a gigantic parasite.

Every agent talks about advertising in magazines. $350 for a page? Every magazine I look at has an average of 12 homes, well that's about $30. Don't make it sound like it's $350 for each home. I have bought 4 homes and I have done all my own homework when buying. The ONLY time I see an agent is when I want to look at a home and I ALWAYS called the listing agent, which means when I purchased the home, they didn't have to split the commission. So a percentage of 5 or higher is absolutely ridiculous. Most people call the listing agent. The other problem is the "big name agencies". This is why the high percentage, heck the agent personally only gets a fraction of the percent charged. There should be a flat rate for selling a home. Either the agency can sell the home or they can't. If they want to make the most money then it should be up to the agent to sell it faster. The faster they sell, the less they spend. I could go on, but it just makes me ill thinking of it.

I agree that Mississauga is definitely a great place to live. We're so close to so many great things. Buying up real estate in the area is smart. Your description of it is great :)

Wow, I think the author must do little to no work and waits for the home to sell itself. I spend between 1-4K dollars on advertising in addition to listing it on up to 300 websites and most of those are not free. Hours of my time and gas money for my car are spent alerting people to the fact that this property is for sale. Must be why I found a BUYER in FOUR days for a seller of mine in the middle of WINTER. HHHMMMM, I charge 5% (2.5 to me and 2.5 to the other agent). If you don't like it, don't hire me, but don't call me 6 months from now when your house is still sitting on the market! If you need me now, go to AnnGrantRealty.com I have a nationwide FREE referral service. Realtors bust their a**es (at least most do) to get the job done right! I spend hours of time advising people on the market, getting them information and sometimes they never buy from me, so is anyone adding in the FREE time we give away? Back to the author, what do you do for your clients? List it on the net and wait?

Although I understand there was some controversy over the area, I must admit, having a home with that local would certainly give one a certain peace when relaxing. To increase your relaxation and comfort, I would strongly suggest you hire a house inspector to monitor the construction and save you peace of mind when you move in. Mattamy Homes sold me a house without electrical power and the furnace was illegally (code) wired to the unoccupied house next door. Both an unethical way to sell a home and potentially lifethreatening to my family, which included two small children. Don't expect the government to protect you. The Town of Oakville inspector passed this furnace even though his director is on record stating he would not give an occupancy permit to such a house. Remember - protect your investment by investing up front to ensure you get what you paid for.

When going to buy or sell a home, your first step should be finding a honest and hard-working realtor.

When going to buy or sell a home, your first step should be finding an honest and hard-working realtor. You can find a real estate agent by keeping an eye out for advertisements, calling your local real estate broker, or through the internet.

The role of a real estate agent is to represent your best interests in a real estate transaction. They work off of a commission, normally 6% of the sales price of the home. In most cases, that commission is split equally between the realtor representing the buyer and the realtor representing the seller. For a person buying a home, the service of the real estate agent is free, because commission is paid by the seller. The buyer, however, is responsible for most of the closing costs. The closing costs will be explained to you by your realtor and will be on the documents you sign when you go to the title company. Closing costs can also be negotiated on during the contract process.

The real estate agent, through their broker, has access to all of the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) listed homes in your area of interest. If you are a home buyer, the realtor can provide you with information about homes for sale that meet your criteria. They will then bring you to these homes and let you inside to see them. If you are selling a home, the realtor will list your home in the MLS, post a "For Sale" sign in your yard, and hold open houses to attract buyers. Be wary of discount realtors that offer to list your home for a lower commission. Studies show that, in most cases, your home will stay on the market longer and you end up selling it for a lower price than what you intended.

A real estate transaction is a complicated process that involves many steps and is best done with the help of a trained, licensed professional. A realtor can save you the headache of dealing with the other party in the sale, getting together the contract, and submitting all the documents to the title company. So when you are ready to buy or sell a house, contact the local real estate agent.
I had come to know these kind of information through the realtor site which I have recently visited www.realestateinwoodstock.com

This site shows much useful information about the real estate business

Great post!

People may also save money but researching their mortgage insurance options. The insurance offered by the bank decreases, only covering the amount owed instead of the original value. Term life insurance remains constant, as well as giving the policy holder the freedom to name their own beneficiary. Consult with your life insurance broker about all your options before committing to bank mortgage insurance.
