With the quaint village feel you experience in Leslieville it will be difficult to believe you are in the big busy city of Toronto. This neighbourhood is filled with older homes that home buyers are seeing the potential in and the value of. Some of the architecture you will see driving through this community is the styles of Ontario cottages, Second Empire row homes and Victorian. In some of the newer areas you can find semi detached, fully detached and some bungalow Leslieville Homes. The area is becoming more and more popular as families move in and more interesting shops, bakeries and restaurants open up. During nice weather anyone can enjoy outdoor time in nearby parks of Withrow, Riverdale and Ashbridges Bay.

Leslieville’s Older Homes

In The past most Leslieville Homes were overshadowed by the grand luxury homes found in neighbouring Riverdale. Now, Leslieville is considered one of the most up and coming neighbourhoods in the city of Toronto. Thanks mainly to the fact that people can see the older homes for the true gems they are. Many of the centuries old homes are being carefully renovated and refurbished by homeowners. Most of the homes in Lesliville are two and a half or three story Victorian semis connected in a row along a street. There are also small bungalows, a few town home clusters and even some grand estates. Residents in Leslieville frequent the trendy shops and tasty restaurants in their area.

A Little Help From Reality TV

A very popular reality television series called Property Virgins recently helped a young Toronto couple buy their first home.  For most of us, buying our first home can be scary and many of us wouldn’t mind some honest advice and even a little handholding along the way.  Which is exactly what the TV show offers?  The couple admit that if it wasn’t for the help of the host they likely would have ended up signing a lease to rent for a few more years because they were to nervous to take the plunge on their own.
